Y.O.G. opens up a gateway to India’s ancient wisdom via online medium, becoming a centre of knowledge hub to preserve the essence of Gurukulam in contemporary times.
‘Gurukulam’ is a Sanskrit word which consists of 2 words; ‘Guru’ & ‘Kulam’. It translates literally to ‘the lineage/clan’ of the Guru. Anf Guru is not merely a word referring to an instructor, but far beyond that for the seekers. It consists of 2 syllables; ‘Gu’ refers to darkness or ignorance & ‘Ru’ depicts light or wisdom. Guru is the one who dispels the darkness from your life & guides you on the path of enlightenment.
Education, the bedrock of civilization, has flourished in diverse forms across time and space. The Gurukul, an ancient, most extensive, innovative & resilient Indian education system, rooted in the Vedic era, served as a residential haven/abode for students seeking knowledge. Under the watchful guidance of their Guru, young minds flourished in a natural environment where academics and moral conscience development were held in equal esteem.
Y.O.G is here to regenerate the essence of ancient Gurukul with technology in hand. It is neither possible to go back to that era nor to create the exact atmosphere of learning. We are to create a world of traditional wisdom where the pursuit of knowledge is not just about academic achievement but about cultivating character, creativity and a sense of community.
